How to fix the price of these services?
Because each company is unique, it is difficult to set the price of a service before discussing its feasibility, your needs and your requirements.
Nevertheless, there are 3 ways to set the price of a service.

DAILY RATE

AB Web&Cie offers a daily rate when the customer entrusts one or more tasks to be done regularly.
If you cannot afford to hire a full-time person, this formula is appropriate for example when you are going through intense periods. First, it gives you the opportunity to delegate the boring aspects of your business. Then, thanks to this free time, you can focus on essential matters, manage a setback or develop your network, in short, do what you are passionate about.
For this day job, I can travel and, in this case, I will add mileage expenses on the estimate (according to the current rate scale).

HOURLY RATE

I apply an hourly rate when the client entrusts me with a task to be carried out in a given time without any urgency. The number of hours required to complete the work is determined according to certain criteria: volume, degree of complexity, research time …. The hourly rate is agreed upon before the beginning of the service and appears in a quote.

FLAT RATE

The fixed price remuneration is generally applied in 2 cases:

  • when the client is loyal, i.e.it entrusts recurrent tasks, for example on a monthly basis,
  • when he entrusts tasks in the context of a huge work that requires organization, rigor, concentration and involvement. The management of complex files falls into this category (call for tenders or large translation work for example).

EMERGENCY RATE

AB Web&Cie is ready to help you by adapting to your circumstances. Working in a hurry is not a problem. Experience has taught me to prioritize and organize myself as best as possible while providing quality work. However, this availability has a cost and whatever the service, it will be charged with a 20% surcharge.

It happens to all of us to forget an event or to put an action aside by saying to ourselves “I have time” “I will do it later”. Until that later turns out to be… too late!

PROFESSIONAL PROOFREADING

The basic rate for proofreading a document is based on the number of words per page. A word is charged at 0.08 CT excluding VAT*. This rate includes reading and correcting spelling, grammar, punctuation and syntax errors.
The number of words per page is usually indicated at the bottom of your word page. To find out the exact number of words on a page if this data is not displayed, click here. You can then estimate the cost of this service. There will be no unpleasant surprises. The rate will be increased if the work has to be done urgently.

TRANSLATION

“Classic” translation

It is difficult to determine the price of a translation without first taking a look at the document involved. It depends on several criterias: number of pages, degree of complexity, estimated working time. The number of words to be translated per page can give an idea of the basic cost of a translation, but it is not accurate.

Indeed, charging by word does not represent the work done as a translator. It does not take into account the time spent on terminology research, context analysis, careful proofreading and editing. Not to mention the years of experience that forge a state of mind useful for a quick understanding of the context. I have acquired reflexes that will result in a text adapted to your needs and expectations.
It is necessary to talk about your project before any estimation. Once I have analyzed these essential points, I will be able to quote at a fair price.
